Building Resilience
Building Strong Networks of Producer Associations in Al Fashaga
Producer Associations (PAs) play a vital role in empowering local farmers, enabling them to collaborate, share resources, and advocate for their collective interests. In Al Fashaga, this spirit of networking and cooperation has taken a remarkable step forward.
With BRDO’s support, communities in Madina 2 and Madina 7 not only established PAs but went further to create their own independent PA network. This network has become a platform for greater collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint problem-solving among producers.
Originally, the goal was to establish three PAs. However, community commitment and enthusiasm exceeded all expectations, resulting in the successful registration of seven PAs. This achievement reflects the community’s drive to take ownership of their development and ensure sustainability.
By coming together, these producers are building stronger livelihoods and shaping a future rooted in cooperation and resilience. BRDO remains committed to supporting such community-led initiatives that leave a lasting impact.
