 Post-Harvest Losses (PHL) Reduction (2018)

Funding Organization: Welthungerhilfe (WHH, 2018) Location: Two localities in Kassala State   Farmers in Kassala face significant post-harvest losses due to inadequate storage, poor handling techniques, and a lack of infrastructure. Goals Achieved – Improved nutritional status and school attendance for 93,000 children in Kassala State. – Supported local economies by involving communities in meal preparation. Sustaining Peace Through Insider Mediation (UNDP, Clingendael Institute, 2024)

Goals Achieved – Strengthened insider mediation as a recognized practice in Lebanon, Jordan, and Sudan. – Developed capacities of mediators for effective conflict resolution. Activities – Facilitated peer-to-peer learning sessions for mediators. – Conducted country-specific analyses for strategic decision-making. – Enhanced resource access for mediators to implement transformative practices.

Peace Building (UNICEF, 2023)

Goals Achieved – Fostered peaceful coexistence among conflicting tribes in Kassala, Aroma, New Halfa, Port Sudan, and Suakin. – Targeted areas affected by tribal conflicts, weak governance, and political instability.
