Clean Water and Renewed Hope: A Successful Project in Hanan Village

In communities facing crisis, access to clean water and sanitation is a lifeline. For the residents of Hanan village in Gadaref state, who were at high risk of cholera and other waterborne diseases, this need was especially urgent.

Building Resilience Development Organization (BRDO) is proud to announce the successful completion of our project aimed at safeguarding the health and dignity of this vulnerable community.

Our Success: Immediate Action for Lasting Impact

Thanks to the vital support of our partners—the International Organization for Migration (IOM), USAID, and the Rapid Response Fund (RRF)—our team has implemented critical WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) solutions that have made a tangible difference in the daily lives of Hanan’s residents.

Project Accomplishments

Our work in Hanan village is now complete, leaving a lasting positive impact. We have successfully:

Overseen the full construction and opening of the new latrines.

Selected and trained local hygiene promoters who are now sharing essential health practices throughout the community.

Established a dedicated voluntary committee to manage and maintain the new facilities, ensuring their long-term benefit.

We are confident that by empowering the people of Hanan village, we have helped them build a healthier, more resilient future.

This project was made possible through our partnership with IOM, and with generous funding from USAID and the Rapid Response Fund (RRF).
